Cannot enter letters

Ever since I uploaded ios11 in my iPad Acrostics will no longer work. Some time I can enter letters but usually not. I cleared out most of my non essential programs, photos, etc. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Having same problem on my ipad.
It started approx. 2-3 wks ago.

I just tried going through that link on my ipad and it was no better than before.
I actally lost points because it took me three times longer to solve.

I've made some more code changes, this time to the main playing board - can you try on iPad and let me know if you still experience this issue?

I'm able to replicate it intermittently on the old board, but so far after this change cannot replicate it anymore - so I'm hoping this might be the fix. Please let me know - thanks!
